Why is it called KIWACAM?
KIWACAM comes from the first syllables of three sister cities in Southwestern Ontario:
Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.
Known as the Tri-Cities region, they are a place where innovation, multiculturalism, and the hopes of thousands of families come together—families who, like us, once dreamed of building a new home without losing their roots.
To promote Latin American culture through an annual event that celebrates diversity, strengthens identity, and fosters integration, entrepreneurship, and pride in our roots in the Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge region.
Mission
To become one of the most representative multicultural festivals in Southwestern Ontario, promoting cultural unity, the growth of artists and entrepreneurs, and the strengthening of the social fabric through Latin American art, music, and cuisine.
